In Mendoza, olive trees brought down by the Zonda wind are replanted whenever they can be saved — there are foundations devoted to rescuing them. The ones that cannot be replanted become wood.

This necklace is made from the wood of one of those trees, from Maipú, known as the cradle of the olive in Mendoza. It hangs from an irregular bronze chain and ties with suede cords.
